Las Vegas!

Hi!
I'm sure many of you have been here before, we have too!  We were last here in 1994 with friends for New Year's Eve and the Luxor was the newest Casino on the Strip!
Unfortunately, we have spent more time doing internet searches for the right hotel and switching than we have anything else.  The first nite, we stayed at a Best Western, but it was pretty bad.  We only stayed 1 night.  We had bought 2 nights at the Alexis Park Resort thru Groupon and we were able to move up our reservation.  It is a  beautiful resort, at least 2 miles from the Strip.  We could have stayed longer at a great rate but only 1 of their 3 pools were open, including the only pool with a hot tub.  Hubby really needs a hot tub for his sore bones. So then we moved to an older Clarion hotel, it was pretty bad too, but we were committed to staying for the night.
Now we have moved to a newer hotel, seems like home!  Close to shopping in Henderson.  The strip was great to see, we did all ends of it, except for Fremont Street.  We will probably take in a tour before we go home.
I have been able to do some sewing, I was able to get 3 hexie flowers done and will send those away on Monday.  These are black and whites with red centres.
Here are some pictures of the Bellagio with the shooting fountains.  Unfortunately, we only caught the end of the Oh the Hour show.  I was facinated with the look of the Bellagio from the street, with the Italian village look with exclusive (ie EXPENSIVE) shops!
Of course, these pics are of Paris casino and the Eiffle Tower!  As seeing the Eiffle Tower in person is on my Bucket List, I had to take these pictures.  The distant picture is from the Walkway over the strip near Caesar's.  There is an inside mall at Paris at the base of the Eiffle Tower, with store and restaurant fronts to look like a Paris village!  Very quaint.
Better move on, gotta get some shopping done, I'm on the search for Joann's and a quilting store, there is one nearby!
Take care, Leslie

2 Wonderful Visitors say:

  1. I have never been to Las Vegas. There I said it - I am probably one of few who hasn't. Sounds like you're having a good time, despite the hotel hopping.
