Donation Quilts

This is the completed flimsy of my Dancing in the Pink quilt, I talked about it here. You will remember this quilt is to raise money for my Dragon Boat Team, which is for Breast Cancer Survivors and supporters.  I have the privilege of  being a supporter on this great team and wonderful group of women.  I try to support them in any way I can, including making quilts and then donating them so they can decide what is the most appropriate way to raise money with them.  The original design is called Celestial Waltz and is designed by Gerry Robinson.  I found it in the March/April 2011 issue of McCall's Quilting Magazine.
It is 88 x 88 inches, or 7744 square inches and is made from 100% quilting fabric.
Here are some pictures I took outside on our beautiful Sunday Feb 12.
Unfortunately, I was a few minutes too late and the sun was already behind the edge of the garage, so you can only see part of the quilt in the sun.  There is a 6 inch unfinished border all the way around.
I didn't add anything else, I wanted the body of the quilt to speak to the design.
I hoping to get it professionally quilted.
Take care, Leslie

I thought this Blogger function would give me a page to keep the pictures of my donated quilts together.
Yes, this is a Subject Under Construction!
Stay Tuned!
